From "Letters to Malcolm" by C.S. Lewis

"If the imagination were obedient, the appetites would give us very little trouble."

  2. Say if my mind did not wander(think about some food that I want to eat) then my appetite (my hunger) would be much less troublesome. This is especially true of lust.

  3. Good quote. Anything from C.S. Lewis is at least thought provoking, but this has to be one of his gems. It is such a perfect way of phrasing it.
